This policy explains what Coastal Card Collective LLC, the company that operates CardHuntr ("we"), collects when you use the CardHuntr website and apps (the "Service"), why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we keep the information needed to run your account and send your alerts, we do not sell it, and you can delete your account at any time.
1. What we collect
Account
- Your email address and a password (stored hashed by our authentication provider).
- The email address you choose for alerts, if different.
- Your settings: alert preferences, theme, filters.
What you ask us to watch
- Your want list: the cards, conditions and price limits you add.
- The eBay seller usernames you choose to follow.
- Alerts and deals we have sent you, and whether you saved, opened or dismissed them.
- Numbers you enter in the profit calculator stay in your browser or device and are not sent to us.
Billing
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe holds your card details; we never see or store your card number. We store your Stripe customer ID, your plan and its status.
Device and diagnostics
- If you turn on push notifications, a device push token so we can deliver them.
- Error reports from the app and our servers, which can include your user ID and the action that failed. We use them to fix bugs.
- We do not use advertising trackers or sell analytics data.
2. How we use it
- To match new eBay listings to your want list and followed sellers, and to send the alerts you asked for by push or email.
- To run your subscription and respond to support requests.
- To keep the Service working: fixing errors, preventing abuse, and enforcing our Terms.
We do not use your data to train machine-learning models, and we do not sell or rent it.
3. Where the data comes from and who we share it with
We use these providers to run the Service. Each receives only what it needs for its job.
- Supabase hosts our database and authentication.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers push notifications on Android.
- Sentry receives error reports.
- eBay provides listing data through its developer APIs. Links to eBay carry eBay Partner Network tracking (see our Affiliate Disclosure). We do not share your account information with eBay.
- PriceCharting and SportsCardsPro provide the market prices we compare listings against. They receive no information about you.
- Google Gemini is used to classify public listing titles (for example, to tell a lot from a single card). No personal data is sent to it.
We will disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the Service.
4. eBay seller data
The seller usernames you follow are public eBay usernames. If eBay tells us that a user has closed their eBay account, we delete that username from our records, including from follow lists, as eBay's developer programme requires.
5. How long we keep it
- Alerts and deals are deleted 90 days after they were sent, unless you saved them or marked them as purchased.
- Your account, want list and settings are kept while your account exists.
- When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted from our database. Backups are overwritten within 30 days. Stripe keeps billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
6. Your choices
- Change your alert email, notification settings and want list at any time in the app.
- Delete your account from Settings. This removes your data as described above.
- Email [email protected] to ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion.
7. Cookies and local storage
We use local storage and cookies only to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences (such as the theme and calculator inputs). We do not use them for advertising.
8. Children
The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters to you, we will show a notice in the app or email you before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
